Hi, MrianBiller. Unfortunately all of the Toad freeware contain logic to expire after 1 year. The idea was to promote keeping users current. To be honest, I was not aware of your workaround. I think you've already found the only hole :). Why do you specifically need the v2.1.1 version? Is there something in the newer Toad for SAP Solutions 3.0 freeware that's not working? thx, Steve

Do you have a valid Xpert key? If so please open a cmd command window, go to where toad is installed and run the following command toad.exe --debuglog=c:\tem\log.txt Please email the log.txt file to yake.li@software.dell.com for further investigation. Thanks.

Thank you both. Upgraded to Toad for Sap 3.1 and successfully ran the same queries. Will advise the other members of my team to do so now. Thanks again for your replies.

Forum Post: Transition from Toad for Sybase 2.1.1 to Toad for SAP Solutions 3.1
I recently received the "free period ended" message and upgraded to Toad for SAP Solutions 3.1. In Query Builder, when I double click on certain tables (that had no issues in my previous version), I am seeing a "Domain error during explicit conversion of INT value '0' to a BIT field" message. I can click OK and the table shows is added but the table doesn't show all of the fields. These tables were set up by others, I simply query off of them.

I can connect to the server SQL Anywhere but on my local pc - C drive CAN NOT. Try many many option unsuccessful. It is always the server name error. I believe TOAD can not connect directly without ODBC.

Forum Post: RE: Connecting to local SQL Anyware Version 12
Libor, I work with Luis and would like to give some additional details on the issue. We have a production SQL Anywhere database which we are able to connect to using Toad for SAP 3.0. Each developer also has a "local" copy of the database for development purposes. We are NOT able to connect Toad for SAP to our local SQL Anywhere databases. We just get the error "Database server not found". Our local databases are on the C drive (ex. C:\DB\dev\DevDB.db). We are able to connect to and use our local database using other applications, so we know it works, we just don't know how to configure the connection from within Toad for SAP. We are using the following connection settings: Broadcast: Direct (but have also tried 'None') Host: localhost Port: 2638 Server: C:\DB\dev\DevDB.db Database: Kerberos: No Any suggestions? Thanks for your time, WTBryant

Forum Post: RE: Toad for SAP Solutions 3.1.0.315 [ encryption error: unrecognized encryption algorithm identifier ]
Hi geoffrey, we are sorry about this problem. We are not sure what causing the problem from now because we didn't do any changes about encryption in toad (or in connection string). Can you please provide us more information about your server? Are you using some encryption on your server? We think that problem is in IQ client from SAP which we are using in Toad but because we are not able reproduce problem we need your help to verify it. You have to do few steps to make it work: You mentioned that you have previous version of TSAP3.0. Go to your installed folder and here is folder "\Plugins\SAP\" you can find here old version of IQ client "iAnywhere.Data.SQLAnywhere.v4.0.dll" version 16.0.0.14424. Copy and replace to same location of TSAP3.1 (backup your newer version for sure). Then you have to change config file for Toad. This file is in root folder of your installed TSAP. Open Toad.exe.config in some text editor (if you have TSAP on your system disk, run this editor as Administrator). In this file find record about iAnywhere "<assemblyIdentity name="iAnywhere.Data.SQLAnywhere.v4.0"". Change value in attributes "<codeBase version=" and "newVersion=" to version "16.0.0.14424". Save your changes and open Toad. Try connect to IQ and let us now if it works or not :-) Thanks Filip

Forum Post: RE: Transition from Toad for Sybase 2.1.1 to Toad for SAP Solutions 3.1
Hi, we are sorry about this issue. This problem is caused by converting function in our SQL for getting information about table for QB. To help you with this problem I would like to know more information about your connection. What version are you using (best would be if you can provide us SELECT @@version)? Are you able enable Execution trace in Toad and see SQL which is running? You can try run this SQL also in Editor and confirm us bad SQL? As last thing I suggest you is try our latest Beta TSAP3.2. We already fixed similar issue before. Filip

I have similar issue. The version of Toad I used is the free 3.0.0.129 that I just downloaded from your website. Whenever I select any database, and select Table from the Object viewer, I got the error. The tables are never shown. This is the version of Sybase we are using: Adaptive Server Enterprise/16.0/EBF 22385 SMP/P/X64/Windows Server/asecepheus/3530/64-bit/FBO/Sun Feb 16 06:52:50 2014

Hi, this is related only to some specific version of ASE DB(with some type of licensing) and we are sorry about it. Can you try it with our latest version 3.1 or Beta version from this site? I believe that we already fixed this problem. If you need fix for your 3.0 version let me know and I will help you. But I need your (bad)SQL from Tracer as i described in my first post. Thanks Filip
